Dr. Karen E. May, D.C., C.C.S.P.
Mindset warrior, hugger, personal growth junkie.
Dr. May was born and raised in Michigan. She attended undergrad at Oakland University and graduate school at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. In 2007, she started May Family Chiropractic, PLLC. It has since expanded into Momentum Health Centers to encompass and represent all the services and programs that she offers! Ever since graduate school, Dr. May has loved blood work and nutrition and has been using her resources above and beyond chiropractic medicine to help patients since 2003. Throughout that time, she has honed her knowledge and skill in this field and uses her expertise to offer clients a different approach to their health. She is also a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
Nutrition plays an integral part in keeping athletes and individuals achieving their goals. Her work includes Sexton Varsity football team as an exercise specialist and as team Chiropractic Physician for the past seven seasons, which has helped the athletes perform at their highest potential in the regular season, and even through the state finals in 2014. In October of 2014, she was selected to work a 2-week rotation in the High-Performance Sports Medicine Clinic at the United States Olympic Committee Training Center in Lake Placid, New York. Based upon her exceptional performance, she was offered a Team Physician position on the World Cup Tour with United States Bobsled and Skeleton. She has traveled to France, Austria and Germany the past two seasons with Team USA.
Working with Team USA and Olympic level athletes proved that she had superb skills as a gifted chiropractic physician yet she remains humble enough to offer this level of care to all her patients. In the fall of 2016, Dr. May was invited by Dr. Jay Goodbinder to be featured on his show, Good Health. As his first choice for a guest speaker, Dr. May was honored to join Dr. Goodbinder and highlight the success that she’s had with her patients. She takes a no-nonsense but loving and systematic approach to help people achieve their health goals. She will continue to serve her community in high school and youth sports while working with Team USA and providing outstanding results for her clients.
